Update from the UK Chief Medical Officers on the UK alert level
UK News as on 12th June 2020 As per the latest webinar arranged by British Council and Information provided by Mr. Harry Booty- Regional Communications Manager @ UK Home Office Visas & Immigration. Below are the main points discussed regarding UK Study Visa updates as of 12 June 2020. UK International Borders will be opening for Sep 2020 intake. Student must have contact details of accommodation where they will be staying if not they have to pay penalty at Immigration check. HIS will have full access to health issues including COVID-19. Possibilities in hike of HIS fees (Amount and date will be confirmed soon). UK announced GIR (Graduate Immigration Route) from Summer 2021 is guaranteed. Priority or Super Priority visa will not be possible for this year to maintain safety measures. If students are travelling to UK and taking online classes to avoid current situation will still be eligible for PSW. Students whose Visas were approved earlier but couldn’t fly to UK due to COVID-19, they can re-submit Visa free of cost (conditions apply) (It has to be same course and university) -Further updates will be announced soon Student need to self-isolate for 14 days after entering UK. Covid-19 test is not mandatory from Pakistan, for visa.
